"I AM smiling"
Woke up at 6:30 today. Thunder, lightning, heavy rain. I thought "They won't show up today". I was wrong. They showed up and sat in their trucks til the rain died down to a drizzle. Then they got to work. Two of them are women who are hauling packages of roof tiles up the ladders.
I'm telling you.... if we export all the foreign nationals in this country, nothing would ever get done.
Lost track of what Fuji-XF mount lenses I have ....opened the box took notes.

These days, Chinese lenses (TT Artisans and 7 Artisans) are easily the best quality per market price. Fuji stuff is insanely expensive today. Of course, the US doesn't make anything anymore - very sad about that.
Filling the bird feeders, I spot this rabbit totally ignoring me and letting me move around and get pretty close. Unusual, as they typically run away. We have several generations living around here.
I ordered a few bags of "backyard critter food" .... we'll see what creatures show up. Probably rats, snakes, skunks .... we'll see.
Deb was out for the day and before mowing, I took a drive to this nearby reservoir dam with a nice little park around it. Locals sit around or skateboard, some on skooters, some taking pictures :)
Take a deep breath and be patient while I try to explain.... I have been paying off a bank loan automatically every month. I use the bank's online website to set up and execute these auto-pay transactions which simply transfers $$$ from my checking account to my bank loan payment account.
My checking account and the loan are in the same bank and have been for years and it's their software that makes this all happen.
So .... I get an email that "Your payment was not completed and your $xxx was returned to your checking account. Reason: "wrong address".
What?
Internet chat did not go well, and my half hour meeting at the bank didn't go much better. In fact the bank could not log into their own system to investigate.
I left.
I get an email. Here's the scoop .... When my automatic payment date comes around, the bank's computer tells itself to move money from my checking account to the loan account. However .... that autopay command actually goes to a third party company that writes a paper check and US mails it to my bank's PO Box. My bank goes to the PO, gets the paper check (that I didn't even know existed) and they process it by hand to move $$$ from my checking account to pay the loan. The glitch happened because the bank changed their PO Box and the paper check got sent back to the third party by the PO and my payment choked.
I am still processing the stupidity of this scenario.
My bank now asked me to go online to my account and type in their new PO Box number.
Wait .... I have to tell the bank's computer what the bank's PO Box is ???? So the bank's third party can mail the bank a paper check in my name to move money from one of my accounts to the other ??
The mind boggles !!
